Sleuthfest, the mystery conference sponsored by the Florida Chapter of Mystery Writers of America, from Thursday, Feb. 27 through Sunday, March 2, 2008, held at the Deerfield Hilton Hotel in Deerfield Beach, FL.

As the chapter's new president, Noreen will speak at the kickoff luncheon on Friday, February 28 at noon and will moderate The Maltese Falcon panel later that afternoon. On Saturday afternoon, February 29, Noreen will appear on the Sleuths With Families panel

On Saturday, March 8, 2008, Noreen will be a guest lecturer, along with James W. Hall, at the Plantation Library Luncheon, held at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club, Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Noreen is teaching a Writing Workshop for Pierian Springs Academy, starting on Thursday, March 6, 2008, from 11:45 A.M. to 1:45 P. and running for 6 weeks
- On Sunday, March 30, 2008, at 1 P.M., Noreen will lecture for the Palm Chase Singles Club followed by a signing at 2 P.M. at Murder on the Beach Bookstore, in Delray Beach, Florida
- Death Rides the Surf and Hurricane Homicide both appeared on the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association Paperback Bestseller List.
- Noreen Wald AKA Nora Charles was the Mystery Loves Company Bookstore in Baltimore, MD #1 Bestselling Author for 2006.
Noreen has presented at the Smithsonian and the National Press Club in Washington DC; Nova University and the Center for the Book in Florida; The Writer's Center in Maryland, and the CIA in Virginia.
